Our Story

We are a friendly and established pre-school, situated in the heart of Mayford Village, just outside Woking. We enjoy the modern and well-equipped facilities of Mayford Village Hall and are able to offer wonderfully spacious and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments.

We are an Ofsted-registered preschool (URN: 556954) and are proud of our well-qualified and experienced team of ‘Yellow Ladies’. We are very welcoming and have a compassionate approach to children’s learning.

Our session times are 9.15 – 12.15 with an additional hour for an optional lunch club (children bring their own healthy packed lunch) until 1.15, providing a maximum offer of 20 hours per week. From September 2026 our session price will be £28.50 and lunch club will be an extra £9.50. We accept FEET Funding for 2 year olds, Working Parent Funding for 2 year olds, Universal Funding for 3 and 4 year olds, Working Parent Funding for 3 and 4 year olds, Early Years Pupil Premium Funding and Childcare vouchers.

There is a £30.00 deposit payable should you wish to secure a place.

Our Aim

Above all at Mayford Pre-School, we want our children to have fun and look forward to spending time here, learning as they play with our varied resources.

In addition to a sizeable indoor space, we are also lucky to have a large garden surrounded by beautiful greenery, ideal for fostering curiosity in the natural world whilst reaping the benefits of being outside.

Known as "The Yellow Ladies", we work closely together as a strong team to provide the safe, caring and stimulating environment in which we hope the children can explore and learn at their own pace, not worrying about making mistakes and knowing who to turn to when they need a helping hand. By supporting the children individually in this way and by working with parents, we hope that during their time with us, the children will be happy, make friends, gain confidence, become independent and learn!

With this progress behind them, we are sure that on leaving Mayford Pre-School, they will be well-prepared for the next stage of their learning journey.
